The Icelandic Union of Library- and Information Scientists (Stéttarfélag bókasafns- og upplýsingafræðinga or SBU) is a member of the Icelandic Association of Academics. Members have finished a degree in library and/or information science, B.A. or a higher degree. In 2013, the union has 270 members.
The union runs an office with four other similar unions. Office hours are 9am to 4pm weekdays, open throughout the year.
